On September 6, AARP California launched a new TV ad, "Health Care is a Right" -- featuring Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, State Senate President Pro Tem Don Perata, and Speaker Fabian Nunez.

The 30-second spot was created to remind legislators that it is up to them to fix California's broken health care system.

AARP volunteers also distributed DVD copies of the spot at the Capitol to members of the legislature and the Governor.

At AARP's Day at the Capitol on August 22nd, California elected leaders assured AARP members they have set their sights on comprehensive health care reform.

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Speaker of the Assembly Fabian Nunez and Senate President pro Tem Don Perata addressed more than 2,500 AARP members in red t-shirts and encouraged them to pressure state elected officials to pass health care legislation this year.
